The Theory of Plate Tectonics
The theory of plate tectonics is the theory of the plates under the earth which move constantly. The main theory is basicly about the lithosphere being divided into smaller plates or slabs, which always move and collide, slide under other plates or move past other plates. Due to this constant movement, we have volcanic eruptions and earthquakes . According to the theory of continental drift, the earth was once made up of one single continent . But over the years, that one continent was separated into 7 different continents which we have today. This activity was caused due to plate tectonics.
